Losing weight should be simple - just eat less and exercise more. Unfortunately, this is not so easy for many of us.
We have all developed ways and patterns to our eating habits, commencing in early childhood. These have been reinforced over our lifetime, and become ingrained in our unconscious minds. Not all of these habits are healthy, and we sometimes continue to utilise them for relief from other distressing psychological or emotional issues. Our unconscious minds retain these negative eating habits because they help us cope better with or avoid altogether other unpleasant matters. They become so embedded in our unconscious minds that they affect the way we eat without us knowing how or why.
Some of us can lose weight easily with special diets, but then struggle to maintain this. This is because we have not actually changed our underlying attitudes about food and eating. To make matters worse, our lifestyles are such that we are constantly exposed to high calorie processed food, are stressed with work, and we cannot make adequate time to exercise. We justify our poor habits, and procrastinate making positive changes. We even go to the point of convincing ourselves that being overweight is okay.
If you have been fortunate enough to accept that you need to change, hypnotherapy could be the vehicle that leads you to weight loss, and consequently better health and prosperity.
My hypnotherapy programme is tailored to accommodate each individuals unique underlying problems. All I ask is that you be motivated to change. The programme would include detailed ongoing assessments and reviews, and most clients require between three to eight sessions of therapy. We need to be realistic about our expectations, and be prepared for life changing experiences.
